Sure it’s tempting when it gets cold in New York to turn on the Satellite Television and snuggle down into the sofa, but don’t give up your fitness goals! If you’ve got your eye on the prize, here’s how to stay active this fall.
Walk. Everywhere. : You may have fallen into a routine where you’re taking the subway more or know to hail a cab for more than about 8 blocks but that’s not burning any calories! Make a plan to walk a lot more and stick to it, at least until snow comes.
Join a Gym: A lot of gyms offer holiday specials this time of year and it’s best if you can join one near your office. You’ll be more likely to go before or after work and if you’re lucky you can even squeeze in a workout during lunch.
Stay Outside: The more you force yourself to get outside and go for a run or a hike the less cold it will feel. If you change your habits with the seasons you’ll be able to keep up!
